The Cambodian Riel (KHR) is the official currency, but US Dollars are accepted almost everywhere in Siem Reap — carry small USD notes for temple entries and tips.

November to March is the dry, cooler season and the most comfortable time to explore the temples. April–May is hot; June–October is the rainy season.
